Wind Energy and Rural Development in North Dakota III

Location: Grand Forks, ND

The conference hosted nationally recognized keynote speakers, a progress update on wind energy development in North Dakota, and information on how you can be involved. This year's conference also featured North Dakota's first-ever Wind Energy Expo, an exhibit of wind energy industry participants from the United States and around the world. The Wind Energy and Rural Development in North Dakota III Web site says there is a video of the conference.

The conference was sponsored by U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan and the Energy and Environmental Research Center of North Dakota. Attendees from North Dakota and 12 other states discussed the many benefits of wind energy systems, including the potential for enhancing both sustainable rural economic development and regional environmental quality.
