President Obama Establishes Quadrennial Energy Review with Energy Infrastructure Focus

Date: 1/9/2014

Location: Washington, DC

On January 9, President Obama issued a presidential memorandum directing federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), to undertake a Quadrennial Energy Review. The initial focus for the review will be the U.S. infrastructure for transporting, transmitting, and delivering energy, and the first Quadrennial Energy Review Report will serve as a roadmap to help address infrastructure challenges. An interagency Quadrennial Energy Review Task Force, which includes members from DOE and other executive departments and agencies, will develop an integrated review of energy policy.
