A Bergey XL hybrid system was installed in 2011 as part of a workshop hosted by the Appalachian State University (ASU) Wind Application Center (WAC) staff. In October 2011, a 20-meter meteorological tower was also installed here as part of a wind resource assessment workshop that was conducted by the ASU WAC staff.
